KEWATEC ALUBOAT -BOATYARD IS DELIVERING TWO BIG PILOT BOATS TO NORWAY AGAIN

Productive cooperation between Kewatec AluBoat and Norwegian pilotage service operator Buksér og Berging continues. To date, nine pilot boats have been delivered to the Atlantic waves from Kokkola. Kewatec Pilot 1820 is the flagship of Kewatec’s pilot fleet, and two of them will be delivered to Norway around the end of next year.

Norwegian pilot boat services were privatized in 2016, when they were transferred to Buksér og Berging AS. In addition, the company offers towing services mainly on the Norwegian coast. The company has a fleet of tens of vessels, of which about half are pilot boats.

In the Kewatec Pilot 1820, clients are particularly pleased with their seaworthiness and easy maneuverability, as John A. Nielsen of Buksér og Berging says. The boat’s relatively low fuel consumption has also been a major selection criterion for purchasing.

Kewatec is delighted with the new order. “We receive it with gratitude. The order is an indication that our expertise is valued”, says Jens Ahlskog, CEO of the Kewatec AluBoat boatyard.
