The design parameters for the SALT designed TSS MPSSCV’S was to design and build vessels that are truly multi-purpose for nearly all subsea construction tasks that can be encountered within the offshore oil / gas and renewables markets.
The vessels have been designed to conform to the highest levels of DNV class notation, “Clean Design”, “Comfort Class” and SPS Code, where a focus is placed on low fuel consumption, reduced exhaust emissions, environmental protection systems and safety. The vessel's are diesel electric with hybrid battery systems that greatly enhance the fuel consumption figures for the vessels, in particular when they are in DP mode and can attain fuel consumption figures of 9MT per 24hours
The new-build MPSSCV’S are 150m x 28m and offer the following advantages:

- 54 x 2 man Cabins
- For enhanced personnel safety the 2 man cabins are fitted with single beds as opposed to the industry standard bunk beds. This assists in mitigating potential injuries related to having bunk beds on vessels.

- Client Recreation Room
- Client Lounge Room
- Dedicated Subsea Managers, Engineering Offices and Conference Room wing
- Dedicated ROV Control Room, On-Line and Off-Line Survey wing

- Main Deck 1,880m² of clear deck
- Lower Deck 1,070m² of clear deck

- Matching configuration for Port and Starboard equipment to maximise operations and inclusive of the following equipment:
- 150-Ton AHC Cranes
- 30-Ton Subsea Cranes
Saturation Diving System: State of the art 18man 300msw rated / Twin Bell-Twin SPHL / Saturation Dive Systems with full diver monitoring and digital sensors.
Air and Mixed Gas Diving Systems: Dual Air and Mixed Gas Diving systems installed on the B-Deck Wings of the vessel, with matching installations on both the Port and Starboard sides of the vessel including, chambers and twin launch and recovery systems built into the open hangers.
Atmospheric Diving Systems (ADS): Dual ADS EXOSUITS systems installed on the B-Deck Wings of the vessel, with matching installations on both the Port and Starboard sides of the vessel.
ROVS: Dual heavy-duty work class 200HP ROV systems and garages for Deep-water operations, deployment is via a cursor on a rail system built into the side of the vessel allowing deployment in larger sea states.
Subsea Survey: Full subsea survey suite, custom designed and permanently installed and tied into the vessel DP and HPR Systems, vessel communications network and client LAN.
