The crew also has a small workshop in addition to storage space on board for tools and equipment.
There is three cabins and a living room with a galley below deck. It is designed and adapted for operation north of the polar circle and will have comfort for longer operations at Cermaq's facilities in the region. In addition to the bridge, the superstructure also houses a seating area, a spacious wc/bathroom and workshop, the latter with entrance from the aft deck.
Important contract
The boat is based on the success we have had with the diving boat ALUSAFE 1500 LDV, which already has several operators around the coast. With this new boat we have another model specially adapted to the requirements of the aquaculture industry and it will be an important reference boat, says Arne K Dybvik, Sales and Marketing Director at Maritime Partner. The contract comes at an important time for us at Maritime Partner and will provide activity in the technical department immediately and then ensure full activity in the workshop when the outfitting starts early 2022, says Peder Myklebust, CEO of Maritime Partner. We are also particularly pleased to add Cermaq to the customer list, as they are a major operator of work boats. We hope that this contract leads to further cooperation moving forward.
Aquaculture
Maritime Partner has several boats specially designed for aquaculture and the marine industry. The boats have been very well received by customers and have proven their seaworthiness and ability to handle tough conditions along the Norwegian coast. They are solid and have great built-in safety for operation in all kinds of weather and seasons along the entire coast, says Arne Dybvik further. Maritime Partner has several decades of experience from building boats used offshore under extreme conditions and quality requirements. We have now taken this experience and passed it on to the aquaculture industry.
