Fjord 1, Bygg nr. 1130-1133 ved Tersan Shipyard, HAV 936 "Skagastøl", "Fanaraaken", "Ringstind" og "Storebjørn"

Always the same trouble from union-people etc. if any transport-vehicles shall be built in much cheaper countries as Turkey, China etc. - any new trains, metros, buses, coaches, ferries etc. from these countries - always the same crying and critic coming from these people then !

Norway is in top 5 worldwide with highest salaries and wages of workers - so in Turkey you get 5 or 6 worker for the price of 1 worker in Norway. So the Norwegians should be very happy if there even are still existing any yards in a super-expensive country as Norway - in most other "rich" countries any yards for ferries does not exists anymore since long time - or are massive subsidized by the Goverment with hundreds of Millions as f.ex. Ferguson Marine in Scotland for 5- or 6- times so long construction-times of ferry-new-buildings as in turkish yards. Would has been 1000-times cheaper to close this yard-hall many many years ago and find any other future-jobs for the 80 people there - instead of to pay the salaries and wages for these Ferguson-people since many years from the money from all the other tax-payers in Scotland.

In the last years Norway is on a very good way with most domestic ferry-connections becoming free gratis or with cheaper ticket-prices than before - this is much better for ALL people, gives higher life-quality, f.ex. "poor" people from small villages anywhere in nowhere can now travel much more often to the next bigger cities, for enjoy shopping, leisure, entertainment, sports, cinema etc. = much higher life-quality than before. But only BECAUSE the ferry-ticket-prices are now 0 or cheaper than before - when they was mostly staying at home only because often traveling was too expensive.

But one condition for this is also to buy new ferries so cheap as possible - for that the costs of a ferry-route stays low and ticket-prices can go further down and in long-term hopefully all domestic ferries will be free gratis as since decades 99% in Sweden, Aaland and Finland also.

And this should be also the main-reason behind these ferries in long-term with full autonomic operation from 2028/2029 with only 1 control-person on land instead of 4 ferry-drivers onboard of 4 ferries - similar as f.ex. on automatically driverless metro-underground-lines f.ex. in France since decades already (Lyon route D). Much lower costs for staff/crew = (nearly) free gratis ferry-tickets.

And the idea - also often coming similar from German politicians and workers-union-people - to tell and teach any other cheaper countries something about working-times, working-rules, conditions, laws, number of holidays etc. - i think this is strange, crazy, rude and arrogant !

If you go very very cheap eating f.ex. at Biltema-Cafe, McDonalds, BurgerKing, 100montaditos-Euromania etc. - then you must accept also the special conditions of these restaurants, f.ex. a Burger half-warm served in a paper and not hot on a plate, without knife, fork, spoon etc. or that you must self fill in the 44 cent-coffee at Biltema-cafe from a crane so that they can save the staff-working-time for this and pay only the staff for a few seconds giving out the empty cup and the kanelbulle-cake to you and checking seconds the in meantime done Card-payment.

But if you do not like and not want these special conditions there in these very cheap restaurants - then you can go instead in a much more expensive restaurant with waiter-service, white blankets on the tables, porcelain-plates, wine-glasses, cutlery, candle-light etc. - and maybe also in background with a luxury room with nice relax-sofas for working-breaks of the waiters and the kitchen-crew. But to tell any other of the 200 countries worldwide that they must change their life, working-rules, conditions, laws etc. into Norwegian (or German) systems, laws and rules - this is an absolute No-go - and just only arrogant and rude !

So back to these 4 new ferries here:
Well done Fjord1, the Tersan-Yard is a very well experienced (ferry-)shipyard with high capacities, short delivery-times and realistic prices. And ferry- and travel-experts from other countries are very excited about this in future automatically operated ferry-route.
