Unity Line/Polferries, Bygg nr. 101-103 ved Remontowa, LNG RoPax "Jantar Unity", "Bursztyn Unity" and "TBN Unity"

There is a "battle" between different "hydrodynamic institutions" - each "Hydrodynamik-/Fluiddynamik-Professor" is thinking that his own bow-design is the most fuel-saving and best wave-breaking design... .
And i think here this bow-section is looking relative modern.
But how long will it take to load/unload 4100 lm trucks and trailers only via 2 small bow-ports (for to see the upper you need your glasses !) - and 2 - compared with other ferries - narrow stern-ramps ?

And still wondering how all this overcapacity between Sweden and Poland shall work... - already now the new Visentini VARSOVIA from Polferries has replaced the CRACOVIA and BALTIVIA together = 1/3 less dep. to/from Ystad because of less freight volumes... . No wonder, Finnlines to Malmö is cheaper now... .

But for us normal travelers these ferries are not really interesting, planned servicespeed is only slowly 14 knots and onboard only a truckers-cantin + standard-cabins. So the only plan is to offer transport of trucks and trailers for lowest costs.

But the construction looks very cost-saving. Anybody knows the construction-price per ferry ? Construction in simply parts and blocks similar like "Lego" is usually relative cheap - but how it is compared with chinese yard prices ?

Jantar Unity shall be the first ship in this new design / branding.
Especially for customers from other countries (Germany, Sweden, Norway, Czech etc.) it is a big positive step.

The plan is to operate 10 ferries and to start new routes also. Thinkable POLSCA-fleet in 2027:
1) JANTAR UNITY
2) BURSZTYN UNITY
3) REMONTOWA 103
4) NOVA STAR
5) VARSOVIA
6) EPSILON
7) MAZOVIA
8) POLONIA
9) SPIRIT OF TASMANIA 1
10) SPIRIT OF TASMANIA 2

Number 9) and 10) is my speculation - both ferries are deleted from saleslists and would fit very well into the POLSCA-fleet, also for possible new routes.
The SKANIA (also a former Superfast, but older, smaller and less comfortable) is officially for sale.

Thinkable new routes:
GDYNIA-FINLAND (The ports of Hanko and Turku are offering extremly well conditions for new ferry-routes)
SWINOUSJCIE-NORWAY (intermediate-stop f.ex. in Copenhagen or Skagen is thinkable too - f.ex. from Trondheim to Munich with the both Spirits it would be well competition to Color Lnes Kiel-Oslo)

Thanks for the pictures.
But the construction-process seems to be really slowly... - order was in nov. 2021 - so until nov. 2025 = 4 years.
And i think that this ferry will not be in operation before 2026... .
So it will go in direction of 4 and a half years construction-time... - for a very simple freight-orientated RoPax-ferry, built partly in blocks similar as Lego.
It is nice that European yards are building big ferries also today - but Chinese yards are much faster... .

Stern-ramp is in 2 floors = positive.
But very narrow only with 1 lane where other ferries has 2, 3 or 4 lanes side by side for faster un/loading.

Construction of Bursztyn Unity is progressing

Further stages of work on Bursztyn Unity are currently underway. This sister vessel to Jantar Unity will soon strengthen our fleet operating in the Baltic Sea.
This marks another important step in the execution of our development strategy, focused on modern, efficient and more sustainable ferry operations.
Each milestone brings us closer to introducing a vessel designed to meet the growing demands of transport and logistics across the Baltic region.
