There is a "battle" between different "hydrodynamic institutions" - each "Hydrodynamik-/Fluiddynamik-Professor" is thinking that his own bow-design is the most fuel-saving and best wave-breaking design... .
And i think here this bow-section is looking relative modern.
But how long will it take to load/unload 4100 lm trucks and trailers only via 2 small bow-ports (for to see the upper you need your glasses !) - and 2 - compared with other ferries - narrow stern-ramps ?
And still wondering how all this overcapacity between Sweden and Poland shall work... - already now the new Visentini VARSOVIA from Polferries has replaced the CRACOVIA and BALTIVIA together = 1/3 less dep. to/from Ystad because of less freight volumes... . No wonder, Finnlines to Malmö is cheaper now... .
But for us normal travelers these ferries are not really interesting, planned servicespeed is only slowly 14 knots and onboard only a truckers-cantin + standard-cabins. So the only plan is to offer transport of trucks and trailers for lowest costs.
But the construction looks very cost-saving. Anybody knows the construction-price per ferry ? Construction in simply parts and blocks similar like "Lego" is usually relative cheap - but how it is compared with chinese yard prices ?
