The vessel is a highly technological and ecological fish factory freezer, designed for capture, processing and freezing.

The Murueta shipyard has contracted with the shipowner Qaleralik (of the Greenlandic public group Royal Greenland) to build ship number C-326, the fourth that the shipbuilding factory will manufacture for this shipping company.

Construction will last 26 months. It is a freezer fishing boat prepared to navigate in polar waters.

Murueta has obtained financing and guarantees from ICO, Bankinter and Pymar, a business group that has the support of the Naval Guarantees Fund. The Ministry of Industry, the Basque Government and the Xunta de Galicia participate in this instrument.

The Secretary General for Industry, Raúl Blanco, highlighted that the project shows the competitive and technological capacity of the naval sector in Spain. "We will continue to promote the technological leadership of Spanish shipyards in areas as diverse as fishing vessels, offshore wind or hydrogen," he said.

The ship will be 82.30 meters long and has a capacity for 30 people. It will be one of the largest capacity operating in its area and will have electrical regeneration units and real-time monitoring systems for fishing equipment, in order to optimize its performance.
